Large update in the works!

Hey everyone, thank you all so much for the recent downloads of Beasts of Burden and I love to see people enjoying the game. I have an exciting announcement, a very large update is currently in the works!

What to expect:

Lighting; that's right! The game will have lighting and shadows which is a HUGE graphical improvement and it's already looking so much better.

Major bug fixes; some bugs I have known about for months and was regrettably too busy to fix will finally be patched out for massive UX improvements and smoother gameplay!

Speaking of UX; I've already made, and plan to make more massive UX improvements to help the gameplay be less confusing, you'll now know exactly where to go and the only confusing moments will be the ones designed to throw you off.

A secret ending; did you know this game is also an ARG? Many of you probably don't and I've realized that's a major problem! Not only will the next version of the game include a good and bad ending but it will include a counter at the end to tell you how many puzzles and secrets you successfully solved. (Important note, transparency is important  and I don't want to overpromise, the secret ending will not be a cinematic masterpiece but it will give you some important lore secrets and a solid indicator that you "solved" the game. I would love to do more but sadly don't have the resources)

I'm very excited to share this improvements in the near future, this was a huge passion project of mine and it brings me unexplainable joy to see other people enjoying it so much! I heavily encourage you to leave any questions, comments, or suggestions on my itch or any social media. Game design is my biggest passion and I would love nothing more than to make these games fulltime, if this one does well it will 100% get a sequel.

P.S. To those of you coming here because you were looking into the creepy Evertale ads, I see you! I hope that this game has successfully scratched some of that itch (pun intended) as that was my goal for making it, and as time goes on I truly hope to one day have the opportunity to make Beasts of Burden 2 even more satisfying than the game we were falsely promised.
